Word by Word:

And He (is) the One Who sends the winds (as) glad tidings before His Mercy, and We send down from the sky water pure.

Translations:

And He it is who sends forth the winds as a glad tiding of His coming grace; and [thus, too,] We cause pure water to descend from the skies,

And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy, and We send down pure water from the sky,-

And He it is Who sendeth the winds, glad tidings heralding His mercy, and We send down purifying water from the sky,

And He it is Who sends the winds as good news before His mercy; and We send down pure water from the clouds,

And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water

Transliteration:

Linuhyiya bihi baldatan maytan wanusqiyahu mimma khalaqna anAAaman waanasiyya katheeran

Word by Word:

That We may give life thereby (to) a land dead and We give drink thereof (to those) We created, cattle and men many.

Translations:

so that We may bring dead land to life thereby, and give to drink thereof to many [beings] of Our creation, beasts as well as humans.

That with it We may give life to a dead land, and slake the thirst of things We have created,- cattle and men in great numbers.

That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give many beasts and men that We have created to drink thereof.

That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and give it for drink to cattle and many people that We have created.

That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men.

Transliteration:

Walaqad sarrafnahu baynahum liyaththakkaroo faaba aktharu alnnasi illa kufooran

Word by Word:

And verily, We have distributed it among them that they may remember, but refuse most (of) the people except disbelief.

Translations:

And, indeed, many times have We repeated [all] this unto men, so that they might take it to heart: but most men refuse to be aught but ingrate.

And We have distributed the (water) amongst them, in order that they may celebrate (our) praises, but most men are averse (to aught) but (rank) ingratitude.

And verily We have repeated it among them that they may remember, but most of mankind begrudge aught save ingratitude.

And certainly We repeat this to them that they may be mindful, but most men consent to naught but denying.

And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief.

Transliteration:

Walaw shi/na labaAAathna fee kulli qaryatin natheeran

Word by Word:

And if We willed, surely, We (would) have raised in every town a warner.

Translations:

Now had We so willed. We could have [continued as before and] raised up a [separate] warner in every single community:

Had it been Our Will, We could have sent a warner to every centre of population.

If We willed, We could raise up a warner in every village.

And if We pleased, We could raise a warner in every town.

And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner.

Transliteration:

Fala tutiAAi alkafireena wajahidhum bihi jihadan kabeeran

Word by Word:

So (do) not obey the disbelievers and strive (against) them with it, a striving great.

Translations:

hence, do not defer to [the likes and dislikes of] those who deny the truth, but strive hard against them, by means of this [divine writ], with utmost striving.

Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an).

So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them herewith with a great endeavour.

So obey not the disbelievers, and strive against them a mighty striving with it.

So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving.

And He (is) the One Who (has) released the two seas [this] (one) palatable and sweet and [this] (one) salty (and) bitter, and He has made between them a barrier and a partition forbidden.

Translations:

AND HE it is who has given freedom of movement to the two great bodies of water the one sweet and thirst-allaying, and the other salty and bitter - and yet has wrought between them a barrier and a forbidding ban.

It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed.

And He it is Who hath given independence to the two seas (though they meet); one palatable, sweet, and the other saltish, bitter; and hath set a bar and a forbidding ban between them.

And He it is Who has made the two seas to flow freely, the one sweet, very sweet, and the other saltish, bitter. And between the two He has made a barrier and inviolable obstruction.

And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.
