32 - The Prostration (Al-Sajdah)

Order of Revelation: 75

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Transliteration:

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi

Word by Word:

In (the) name (of) Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Translations:

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace.

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

I, Allah, am the Best Knower.

Alif, Lam, Meem.

تَنزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ مِن رَّبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Transliteration:

Tanzeelu alkitabi la rayba feehi min rabbi alAAalameena

Word by Word:

(The) revelation (of) the Book, (there is) no doubt about it, from (the) Lord (of) the worlds.

Translations:

The bestowal from on high of this divine writ issues, beyond any doubt, from the Sustainer of all the worlds:

(This is) the Revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt,- from the Lord of the Worlds.

The revelation of the Scripture whereof there is no doubt is from the Lord of the Worlds.

The revelation of the Book, there is no doubt in it, is from the Lord of the worlds.

[This is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt from the Lord of the worlds.

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ بَلْ هُوَ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّا أَتَاهُم مِّن نَّذِيرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ

Transliteration:

Am yaqooloona iftarahu bal huwa alhaqqu min rabbika litunthira qawman ma atahum min natheerin min qablika laAAallahum yahtadoona

Word by Word:

Or (do) they say, "He invented it?" Nay, it (is) the truth from your Lord that you may warn a people not has come to them any warner before you so that they may be guided.

Translations:

and yet, they [who are bent on denying the truth] assert, [Muhammad] has invented it!" Nay, but it is the truth from thy Sustainer, enabling thee to warn [this] people to whom no warner has come before thee, so that they might follow the right path.

Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance.

Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright.

Or do they say: He has forged it? Nay it is the Truth from thy Lord that thou mayest warn a people to whom no warner has come before thee that they may walk aright.

Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided.

اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ مَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا شَفِيعٍ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ

Transliteration:

Allahu allathee khalaqa alssamawati waal-arda wama baynahuma fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi ma lakum min doonihi min waliyyin wala shafeeAAin afala tatathakkaroona

Word by Word:

Allah (is) the One Who created the heavens and the earth and whatever (is) between them in six periods. Then established Himself on the Throne. Not for you besides Him any protector and not any intercessor. Then will not you take heed?

Translations:

IT IS GOD who has created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness. You have none to protect you from God, and none to intercede for you [on Judgment Day]: will you not, then, bethink yourselves?

It is God Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all between them, in six Days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): ye have none, besides Him, to protect or intercede (for you): will ye not then receive admonition?

Allah it is Who created the heavens and the earth, and that which is between them, in six Days. Then He mounted the Throne. Ye have not, beside Him, a protecting friend or mediator. Will ye not then remember?

Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He is established on the Throne of Power. You have not besides Him a guardian or an intercessor. Will you not then mind?

It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded?

يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ

Transliteration:

Yudabbiru al-amra mina alssama-i ila al-ardi thumma yaAAruju ilayhi fee yawmin kana miqdaruhu alfa sanatin mimma taAAuddoona

Word by Word:

He regulates the affair of the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, (the) measure of which is a thousand years of what you count.

Translations:

He governs all that exists, from the celestial space to the earth; and in the end all shall ascend unto Him [for judgment] on a Day the length whereof will be [like] a thousand years of your reckoning.

He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning.

He directeth the ordinance from the heaven unto the earth; then it ascendeth unto Him in a Day, whereof the measure is a thousand years of that ye reckon.

He orders the Affair from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a day the measure of which is a thousand years as you count.

He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count.
