64 - Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun)

Order of Revelation: 108

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Transliteration:

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi

Word by Word:

In (the) name (of) Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Translations:

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace.

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Transliteration:

Yusabbihu lillahi ma fee alssamawati wama fee al-ardi lahu almulku walahu alhamdu wahuwa AAala kulli shay-in qadeerun

Word by Word:

Glorifies [to] Allah whatever (is) in the heavens and whatever (is) in the earth. For Him (is the) dominion and for Him (is) the praise. And He (is) on every thing All-Powerful.

Translations:

ALL THAT IS in the heavens and all that is on earth extols God's limitless glory: His is all dominion, and to Him all praise is due; and He has the power to will anything.

Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare the Praises and Glory of God: to Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs praise: and He has power over all things.

All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah; unto Him belongeth Sovereignty and unto Him belongeth praise, and He is Able to do all things.

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth glorifies Allah. His is the kingdom, and His the praise; and He is Possessor of power over all things.

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah . To Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs [all] praise, and He is over all things competent.

هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ فَمِنكُمْ كَافِرٌ وَمِنكُم مُّؤْمِنٌ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

Transliteration:

Huwa allathee khalaqakum faminkum kafirun waminkum mu/minun waAllahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun

Word by Word:

He (is) the One Who created you and among you (is) a disbeliever and among you (is) a believer. And Allah of what you do (is) All-Seer.

Translations:

He it is who has created you: and among you are such as deny this truth, and among you are such as believe [in it]. And God sees all that you do.

It is He Who has created you; and of you are some that are Unbelievers, and some that are Believers: and God sees well all that ye do.

He it is Who created you, but one of you is a disbeliever and one of you is a believer, and Allah is Seer of what ye do.

He it is Who created you, but one of you is a disbeliever and one of you is a believer. And Allah is Seer of what you do.

It is He who created you, and among you is the disbeliever, and among you is the believer. And Allah , of what you do, is Seeing.

خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ

Transliteration:

Khalaqa alssamawati waal-arda bialhaqqi wasawwarakum faahsana suwarakum wa-ilayhi almaseeru

Word by Word:

He created the heavens and the earth with truth, and He formed you and made good your forms, and to Him (is) the final return.

Translations:

He has created the heavens and the earth in accordance with [an inner] truth, and has formed you - and formed you so well; and with Him is your journey's end.

He has created the heavens and the earth in just proportions, and has given you shape, and made your shapes beautiful: and to Him is the final Goal.

He created the heavens and the earth with truth, and He shaped you and made good your shapes, and unto Him is the journeying.

He created the heavens and the earth with truth, and He shaped you, then made goodly your shapes; and to Him is the resort.

He created the heavens and earth in truth and formed you and perfected your forms; and to Him is the [final] destination.

يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُسِرُّونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ

Transliteration:

YaAAlamu ma fee alssamawati waal-ardi wayaAAlamu ma tusirroona wama tuAAlinoona waAllahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori

Word by Word:

He knows what (is) in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you conceal and what you declare. And Allah (is) All-Knowing of what (is in) the breasts.

Translations:

He knows all that is in the heavens and on earth; and He knows all that you keep secret as well as all that you bring into the open: for God has full knowledge of what is in the hearts [of men].

He knows what is in the heavens and on earth; and He knows what ye conceal and what ye reveal: yea, God knows well the (secrets) of (all) hearts.

He knoweth all that is in the heavens and the earth, and He knoweth what ye conceal and what ye publish. And Allah is Aware of what is in the breasts (of men).

He knows what is in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you hide and what you manifest. And Allah is Knower of what is in the hearts.

He knows what is within the heavens and earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare. And Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.

أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَبْلُ فَذَاقُوا وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

Transliteration:

Alam ya/tikum nabao allatheena kafaroo min qablu fathaqoo wabala amrihim walahum AAathabun aleemun

Word by Word:

Has not come to you (the) news (of) those who disbelieved before? So they tasted (the bad) consequence (of) their affair, and for them (is) a punishment painful.

Translations:

HAVE THE STORIES of those who, in earlier times, refused to acknowledge the truth never yet come within your ken? [They denied it -] and so they had to taste the evil outcome of their own doings, with [more] grievous suffering awaiting them [in the life to come]:

Has not the story reached you, of those who rejected Faith aforetime? So they tasted the evil result of their conduct; and they had a grievous Penalty.

Hath not the story reached you of those who disbelieved of old and so did taste the ill-effects of their conduct, and theirs will be a painful doom.

Has there not come to you the story of those who disbelieved before, then tasted the evil consequences of their conduct, and they had a painful chastisement?

Has there not come to you the news of those who disbelieved before? So they tasted the bad consequence of their affair, and they will have a painful punishment.
