Order of Revelation: 42
Innaha saat mustaqarran wamuqaman
Indeed, it (is) an abode and resting place."
verily, how evil an abode and a station!" -;
"Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in";
Lo! it is wretched as abode and station;
It is surely an evil abode and resting-place!
Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence."
Waallatheena itha anfaqoo lam yusrifoo walam yaqturoo wakana bayna thalika qawaman
And those who, when they spend, (are) not extravagant and are not stingy but are between that - moderate.
and who, whenever they spend on others, are neither wasteful nor niggardly but [remember that] there is always a just mean between those [two extremes];
Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes);
And those who, when they spend, are neither prodigal nor grudging; and there is ever a firm station between the two;
And they who, when they spend are neither extravagant nor parsimonious, and the just mean is ever between these.
And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate
Waallatheena la yadAAoona maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara wala yaqtuloona alnnafsa allatee harrama Allahu illa bialhaqqi wala yaznoona waman yafAAal thalika yalqa athaman
And those who (do) not invoke with Allah god another, and (do) not [they] kill the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right and (do) not commit adultery. And whoever does that will meet a penalty.
and who never invoke any [imaginary] deity side by side with God, and do not take any human beings life - [the life] which God has willed to be sacred - otherwise than in [the pursuit of] justice, and do not commit adultery. And [know that] he who commits aught thereof shall [not only] meet with a full requital
Those who invoke not, with God, any other god, nor slay such life as God has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment.
And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty;
And they who call not upon another god with Allah and slay not the soul which Allah has forbidden, except in the cause of justice, not commit fornication; and he who does this shall meet a requital of sin --
And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.
YudaAAaf lahu alAAathabu yawma alqiyamati wayakhlud feehi muhanan
Will be doubled for him the punishment (on the) Day (of) Resurrection, and he will abide forever therein humiliated
[but] shall have his suffering doubled on Resurrection Day: for on that [Day] he shall abide in ignominy.
(But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,-
The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever;
The chastisement will be doubled to him On the day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in abasement --
Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated -
Illa man taba waamana waAAamila AAamalan salihan faola-ika yubaddilu Allahu sayyi-atihim hasanatin wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman
Except (he) who repents and believes and does righteous deeds, then (for) those Allah will replace their evil deeds (with) good ones. And is Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Excepted, however, shall be they who repent and attain to faith and do righteous deeds: for it is they whose [erstwhile] bad deeds God will transform into good ones - seeing that God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace,
Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for God will change the evil of such persons into good, and God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful,
Save him who repenteth and believeth and doth righteous work; as for such, Allah will change their evil deeds to good deeds. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.
Except him who repents and believes and does good deeds; for such Allah changes their evil deeds to good ones. And Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.
Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
Waman taba waAAamila salihan fa-innahu yatoobu ila Allahi mataban
And whoever repents and does righteous (deeds), then indeed, he turns to Allah (with) repentance.
and seeing that he who repents and [thenceforth] does what is right has truly turned unto God by [this very act of] repentance.
And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to God with an (acceptable) conversion;-
And whosoever repenteth and doeth good, he verily repenteth toward Allah with true repentance -
And whoever repents and does good, he surely turns to Allah a (goodly) turning.
And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance.
