غافر
40 - Forgiver (Ghafer)
Order of Revelation: 60قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا كُلٌّ فِيهَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ حَكَمَ بَيْنَ الْعِبَادِ
Qala allatheena istakbaroo inna kullun feeha inna Allaha qad hakama bayna alAAibadi
Will say those who (were) arrogant, "Indeed, we all (are) in it. Indeed, Allah certainly has judged between (His) slaves"
[to which] they who had [once] been arrogant will reply, Behold, we are all in it [together]! Verily, God has judged between His creatures!"
Those who had been arrogant will say: "We are all in this (Fire)! Truly, God has judged between (his) Servants!"
Those who were proud say: Lo! we are all (together) herein. Lo! Allah hath judged between (His) slaves.
Those who were proud say: Now we are all in it: Allah has indeed judged between the servants.
Those who had been arrogant will say, "Indeed, all [of us] are in it. Indeed, Allah has judged between the servants."
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ فِي النَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ادْعُوا رَبَّكُمْ يُخَفِّفْ عَنَّا يَوْمًا مِّنَ الْعَذَابِ
Waqala allatheena fee alnnari likhazanati jahannama odAAoo rabbakum yukhaffif AAanna yawman mina alAAathabi
And will say those in the Fire to (the) keepers (of) Hell, "Call your Lord (to) lighten for us a day of the punishment."
And they who are in the fire will say to the keepers of hell, Pray unto your Sustainer that He lighten, [though it be] for one day [only], this suffering of ours!"
Those in the Fire will say to the Keepers of Hell: "Pray to your Lord to lighten us the Penalty for a day (at least)!"
And those in the Fire say unto the guards of hell: Entreat your Lord that He relieve us of a day of the torment.
And those in the Fire will say to the guards of hell: Pray to your Lord to lighten our chastisement for a day.
And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Supplicate your Lord to lighten for us a day from the punishment."
قَالُوا أَوَلَمْ تَكُ تَأْتِيكُمْ رُسُلُكُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ قَالُوا فَادْعُوا وَمَا دُعَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ
Qaloo awa lam taku ta/teekum rusulukum bialbayyinati qaloo bala qaloo faodAAoo wama duAAao alkafireena illa fee dalalin
They (will) say, "Did there not come to you your Messengers with clear proofs?" They (will) say, "Yes." They (will) say, "Then call, but not (is the) call (of) the disbelievers except in error."
[But the keepers of hell] will ask, Is it not [true] that your apostles came unto you with all evidence of the truth?" Those [in the fire] will reply, Yea, indeed." [And the keepers of hell] will say, Pray, then!" - for the prayer of those who deny the truth cannot lead to aught but delusion.
They will say: "Did there not come to you your apostles with Clear Signs?" They will say, "Yes". They will reply, "Then pray (as ye like)! But the prayer of those without Faith is nothing but (futile wandering) in (mazes of) error!"
They say: Came not your messengers unto you with clear proofs? They say: Yea, verily. They say: Then do ye pray, although the prayer of disbelievers is in vain.
They will say: Did not your messengers come to you with clear arguments? They will say: Yea. They will say: Then pray. And the prayer of the disbelievers goes astray.
They will say, "Did there not come to you your messengers with clear proofs?" They will say, "Yes." They will reply, "Then supplicate [yourselves], but the supplication of the disbelievers is not except in error."
إِنَّا لَنَنصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْأَشْهَادُ
Inna lanansuru rusulana waallatheena amanoo fee alhayati alddunya wayawma yaqoomu al-ashhadu
Indeed We, We will surely help Our Messengers and those who believe in the life (of) the world and (on the) Day (when) will stand the witnesses,
BEHOLD, We shall indeed succour Our apostles and those who have attained to faith, [both] in this world's life and on the Day when all the witnesses shall stand up
We will, without doubt, help our apostles and those who believe, (both) in this world's life and on the Day when the Witnesses will stand forth,-
Lo! We verily do help Our messengers, and those who believe, in the life of the world and on the day when the witnesses arise,
We certainly help Our messengers, and those who believe, in this world's life and on the day when the witnesses arise --
Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand -
يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ الظَّالِمِينَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوءُ الدَّارِ
Yawma la yanfaAAu alththalimeena maAAthiratuhum walahumu allaAAnatu walahum soo-o alddari
(The) Day not will benefit the wrongdoers their excuse, and for them (is) the curse and for them (is the) worst home.
the Day when their excuses will be of no avail to the evildoers, seeing that their lot will be rejection from all that is good, and a woeful hereafter.
The Day when no profit will it be to Wrong-doers to present their excuses, but they will (only) have the Curse and the Home of Misery.
The day when their excuse availeth not the evil-doers, and theirs is the curse, and theirs the ill abode.
The day on which their excuse will not benefit the unjust, and for them is a curse and for them is the evil abode.
The Day their excuse will not benefit the wrongdoers, and they will have the curse, and they will have the worst home.
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْهُدَىٰ وَأَوْرَثْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ
Walaqad atayna moosa alhuda waawrathna banee isra-eela alkitaba
And certainly, We gave Musa the guidance and We caused to inherit (the) Children of Israel the Book,
And, indeed, We bestowed aforetime [Our] guidance on Moses, and [thus] made the children of Israel heirs to the divine writ [revealed to him]
We did aforetime give Moses the (Book of) Guidance, and We gave the book in inheritance to the Children of Israel,-
And We verily gave Moses the guidance, and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit the Scripture,
And We indeed gave Moses the guidance, and We made the Children of Israel inherit the Book --
And We had certainly given Moses guidance, and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit the Scripture
