قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ
Transliteration:
Qaloo rabbana ghalabat AAalayna shiqwatuna wakunna qawman dalleena
Word by Word:
They (will) say, "Our Lord! Overcame [on] us our wretchedness, and we were a people astray.
Translations:
They will exclaim: O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray!
They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray!
They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk.
They will say: Our Lord, our adversity overcame us, and we were an erring people.
They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray.
