[For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts,

(Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),-

Such as We send down for those who make division,

Like as We sent down on them who took oaths,

Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators
